I haven't used a lot of cardamom, and had never used it from the pods before. I'm very glad to have this experience. Jiva Organics' cardamom is so fresh and fragrant. It's best to keep the cardamom in stored in pods to preserve this. Also, by buying the pods you get a better bang for your buck. Cheaper ground cardamom is sometimes ground with both the seeds and the pods, dulling it's flavor and quality.
Cardamom is great for teas or any food, even desserts, to add a little something extra. It's also wonderful for digestion and so much more!
