Apothecary Extracts Australian Tea Tree Oil #Review

Product: Australian Tea Tree Oil

Company/Creator: Apothecary Extracts

Where to Buy: Amazon

Connect: Website

Recommend?: Yes

I first heard about tea tree oil in some post-apocalypse book. I can't recall what it was exactly...but it wasn't a zombie one. Anyway, back to the point. Ever since, I've wondered about this miracle oil. The scent of the product reminded me of a product I used in the past, and per another reviewer I figured out what that scent was-- a Burt's Bees acne solution!

Apothecary Extracts was founded in 2013 because, as consumers, we were tired of not knowing what was in our essential oils. There are so many vendors that dilute their essential oils, or use unsafe extraction processes which contaminate the final product. The only way to be sure what is in your essential oils is to test them. But the tests are expensive so most brands don’t want to pay for this. Or they don’t want you to know the results! We will only carry essential oils that we are 100% confident represent the best quality and potency available. And we’ll show you the test results to back it up.

Many essential oils are diluted to cut costs. Apothecary Extracts has test to prove their products purity and potency.

Apothecary Extracts sends a free 100 page guide to the email address associated with your order. This little ebook is full of great ideas, such as acne treatments, hair conditioning, ointment, toothpaste, air freshener, dryer sheets, and so much more. One of the most versatile essential oils. Naturally fight Acne, Toenail Fungus, Lice, Yeast Infections, Skin Tags, Cold Sores, Dandruff, Ringworm, Fleas, Warts, Psoriasis, and More.

I am using it with honey and a carrier oil (coconut here) for my face and I plan on making a shampoo and deodorant from the recipe guide soon as well.
I love that I can use it to make my home smell great (in air fresheners and cleaning supplies) without harsh chemicals! I'm slowly but surely moving towards using (mostly) natural products.

Beauty By Shea Raw Shae Butter #Review & #Giveaway

Recommend?: Yes (unless you have nut allergies)

Beauty By Shea 100% Ivory Organic Raw, Unrefined Shea Butter is imported directly from Ghana, and is 100% pure and natural, nothing else added!
Naturally rich in essential vitamins for beautiful skin, Beauty By Shea Organic Shea Butter will nourish your skin with Vitamins A, E, F & K. Use this Beauty By Shea Organic Raw Shea Butter daily and often for beautiful, moisturized, luminous skin.
Raw Organic Unrefined Shea Butter is perfect for topical use on skin and hair, and the perfect essential ingredient for homemade lotions, soaps, conditioners and more!

Beauty By Shea Organic Shea Butter is double filtered, first in Ghana, and then at our US Lab where it is manufactured into our 1lb bricks, packaged into our heat sealed bags, and sent straight to Amazon thereby preserving the natural richness, and purity of the shea butter for our customers.

I was so thrilled to receive this Shea Butter. It came in a cute lined paper bag with a ziploc bag inside holding the brick of Shea. I've been looking to make my own hair and skin care products and this was perfect. With a whole pound, I should be able to make it last a while because it doesn't take a lot. It feels very soft, easy to pull off a small amount and warm it in your hand to apply to your skin. I love the scent of Shea butter and it makes skin so smooth. I have had very dry, cracked feet for ages and I'm positive that will soon be a thing of the past.

I know a lot of products in stores declare they have Shea in them and are therefor fantastic, right? Well, I've read that raw is the only way to go with Shea because the processing kills all of the benefits listed above. It's unlikely to be the case with mass merchandiser products.

Do you want your own Organic Raw Shea Butter? Enter below for a chance to win or purchase on Amazon from the link at the top if you can't wait!

REVIEW: Adovia's Dead Sea Salt Conditioner

About Adovia's Dead Sea Salt Conditioner:

Leaves Hair Looking Hydrated, Healthy and Silky.
Helps to Reduce the appearance of Dandruff and Dry, Flaky Scalp.
Aloe Vera Deeply Nourishes the Scalp and Hair - Hydrating it from Within.
Dead Sea Salt contains more than 21 skin and hair rebuilding minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium.

I previously reviewed Adovia's Dead Sea Mud shampoo. Now I've had the opportunity to try the accompanying conditioner. I liked the shampoo on it's own, but can absolutely tell a difference when using the conditioner. Plus, I may have a slight conditioner problem.... I tend to go through it at least twice as fast as the shampoo, if not three times. That said, I really really tried to use the suggested amount, but probably did a little bit more. The conditioner has left my hair looking and feeling smooth and healthy.

When I went on vacation, I bought some little traditional travel shampoo and conditioner bottles. And I got that flaking back on my scalp by the time I came home. It's almost gone again, which is probably my favorite part of this shampoo and conditioner. Again, I wish it were more natural...but it's better than some.

You can purchase the conditioner on Amazon for $18.75!
I also found the Shampoo & Conditioner in a combo for $39 on Cleopatra's Choice, which is a pretty good deal because separately they'd cost a total of $43. Their product line has grown a great deal since I reviewed the shampoo, definitely a decent line to check out! I believe I have a review of one of their soaps coming soon.

REVIEW: Dead Sea Mud Shampoo

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I don't wash my hair daily. Or even every other day. More like twice a week. When I do wash it, I use very little shampoo. I found it keeps my hair from getting greasy and nasty. I was actually planning to no-poo when I ran out of my current shampoo, but then I saw this opportunity and thought I'd give it a try. To be honest, I still plan to no-poo at some point, but I do like the shampoo and actually am also going to be receiving the conditioner to review soon, as well!

Anyway, I have a very dry scalp, but always used products that were moisture intensive because my hair just didn't react well to anything else, so unfortunately my scalp just had to suffer. And itch. A lot. I have noticed some improvement since using Adovia's Dead Sea Mud shampoo. It has been pretty gentle on my hair color, surprisingly. I typically condition heavily, but decided not to condition my hair with it so that I could see how it would do. I had little to no tangles and my hair didn't feel dried out even without the conditioner. It has a nice scent and is very sudsy.

I'm not in love with the ingredient list. It's not quite what I expected. It's pretty long and has some words that just scream chemical. This is a primary reason I don't plan to use more than the bottle. If you aren't concerned with chemicals in your hair, this shampoo does make it feel nice. I love the Dead Sea mud, but wish the rest were more natural.
Demineralised Water (Aqua) & Dead Sea Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide Dea, Fragrance (Parfum), Glycol Stearate, Propylene Glycol & Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) Extract & Algae Extract & Papaya (Carica Papaya) Extract & Aloe Vera (Barbadensis) Gel, Sodium Chloride, Dead Sea Salt, Polyquaternium – 7, Wheat (Triticum Vulgare) Germ Oil, Grape (Vitis Vinifera) Seed Oil, Sweet Almond (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) Oil, Carrot (Daucus Carota) Seed Oil, Olive (Olea Europaea) Oil, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5), Citric Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit E), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.
You can purchase Adovia's Dead Sea Mud Shampoo on Amazon for $23. I also found the Shampoo & Conditioner in a combo for $34 on Cleopatra's Choice, which is a pretty good deal because separately they'd cost a total of $42.
