Menu Plan Monday 12/15-12/21

Been some time since I did a Menu Plan Monday, y'all....let's do this!

Miss Em is doing much better with dairy. Her Dr recommended we try using lactaid while reintroducing very slowly. She can now have a little bit of cheese or yogurt and no troubles! Straight milk is still problematic, though, even with the lactaid. So, we don't have to eliminate dairy now, but we are still keeping it low.

Ohh Sunday is the Solstice! Can hardly wait! Except I can...because I'm so not ready hahaha.

I try to keep it pretty Clean.

On the Menu this week:
  • Stuffed Peppers
  • Beef & Veg Soup
  • Paleo Ramen (with adjustments)
  • Chicken & Carrots
  • Garlic Lemon Basil Tilapia
If there are new recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.
And then I will move them here with my commentary after I've tried them.

Menu Plan Monday July 21

Well, summer reading program at the library is over...so I'm not sure what we'll be doing until story time starts again. Anyway...I don't know, nothing happened this week. On with the eats! I'm feeling like sandwiches and salads with this hot weather...

I try to keep it pretty Clean.

On the Menu this week:
  • Cobb Salad
  • Chicken nuggets + veggie fries
  • Soft tacos/wraps
  • Chicken (&cheese for some) BLT
  • Burgers (turkey & beef)
  • Fruit salad for snacks
If there are new recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.
And then I will move them here with my commentary after I've tried them.

Menu Plan Monday week of July 14

Slacking, slacking, slacking! I'll get caught up and post more eventually... I haven't done our preschool post, but I meant to. I may just save it and do it all in one this weekend.  Trying to get caught up on crochet as well. I'm such a procrastinator. This week I'm trying a few recipes from a cookbook I am reviewing. I'll save my thoughts on it so far for that post.

I try to keep it pretty Clean.

On the Menu this week:
  • Fried rice with tomato
  • Guacamole bites
  • Tomato and basil sauce pasta
  • Roasted bell pepper soup
  • Chicken broccoli casserole
If there are new recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.
And then I will move them here with my commentary after I've tried them.

Menu Plan Monday Week of July 7

This will be almost-dairy-free week 3. It's...difficult..but we're making it work! I may have ate half a pound of mozzarella by myself last night. Don't judge me.

Hope you had a great Independence Day, reader. We went to some fireworks. Miss Em was not impressed.

I'm gonna do things a little differently this week. Just a list of meals, rather than an assigned day. That's really how it ends up anyway, just works better for me.

I try to keep it pretty Clean.

On the Menu this week:

  • Found some sirloin in the freezer. Will do something with that..maybe with the kale/spinach I have left as well?
  • Cottage pie
  • Pizza Chicken
  • Breakfast
  • Asian noodle bowl

If there are new recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.
And then I will move them here with my commentary after I've tried them.

Menu Plan Monday Week of June 30

Dairy free week wasn't so bad, we can keep this up. I definitely snuck cheese sticks while the kids weren't watching. I finally found a variety of dairy free yogurts. We bought almond, soy, goat milk, and coconut. So far have tried almond and soy, neither Miss Em nor I really enjoyed the almond...she likes the soy ok, but we will really limit soy intake. We haven't tried the others yet.

I try to keep it pretty Clean.

On the Menu this week:

Monday - zucchini nuggets & fried potatoes
Tuesday - shrimp & salad
Wednesday - spaghetti
Thursday - crockpot lemon chicken, veggies, & rice
Friday - egg salad
Saturday - kid pick
Sunday - leftovers

If there are new recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.
And then I will move them here with my commentary after I've tried them.

Menu Plan Monday: June 23-29

I haven't done an MPM in a while...between some issues, Vegas, and just not feeling like it....hopping back on the wagon! Miss Em seems to be having some dairy troubles...a protein intolerance, not an allergy... so we're looking at a dairy-free week. It's rather tough because I *love* dairy...and she really loves yogurt. And cream cheese. I'll have to find some dairy free yogurt. Does the non-soy kind have to cost so much??

I try to keep it pretty Clean.

On the Menu this week:

Monday - Tacos
Tuesday - Chicken Strips & Fries
Wednesday - Mini Meatloaves (hot dog or shrimp for Miss O)
Thursday - Homemade Pizza Rolls (Some sans cheese)
Friday - Chicken Stir Fry (carrots, zukes, bok choy, broc, rice noodles)
Saturday - Ground Beef Stroganoff (with broth and dairy-free sour cream)
Sunday - BLT salad (or sandwiches...whatever)

If there are recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.
And then I will move them here with a review after I've tried them.

Ash's Menu Plan Monday April 29 - May 5

Well, my not having a couple meals planned worked out in my favor (or jinxed me?) because I did not feel up to cooking much of this week. I don't know if I got hit hard by allergies or if it was a cold...but ugh it was rough. Little better today. Soccer is over until fall. The little is going to be 1 on Sunday! Ridiculous. I'm also supposed to receive some sort of award on Saturday. From a school I haven't attended in a over year...? Strange. Well, on with the food...

I try to keep it pretty Clean.

On the Menu this week:

Tuesday - Baked Ziti (make-up from last week)
Wednesday - Pan fried chicken stips
Thursday - Turkey burgers
Friday - Healthy pizza
Saturday - Sandwich/Leftovers
Sunday - Baked egg rolls
Monday - Lemon chicken/shrimp (vary per family member) pasta

If there are recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.
And then I will move them here with a review after I've tried them.

Ash's Menu Plan Monday April 22-28

I received a book I'm going to reviewing in the mail today. Super excited! Have another one or two to finish first though. At least the birthday party is over, maybe I can get some reading done now. Also put the (kiddie) pool up yesterday! Not sure it's going to be warm enough to get in this week, but it's up! At least when it is warm enough the water won't be straight-from-the-hose cold.

I try to keep it pretty Clean.

On the Menu this week:

Tuesday - Chicken soup
Wednesday - meatloaf
Thursday - sandwich/leftovers - Soccer night
Friday - tuna patties
Saturday - Baked Ziti
Sunday - ??
Monday - ?? (I'll update these later, I'm not sure yet.)

If there are recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.

And then I will move them here with a review after I've tried them.

Menu Plan Monday Apr 1- 7

There was a mishap....with the potatoes for the tots, sooooo the burgers and tots has been moved to this week :]

Last Week Highlights:

Excuse my poor, beat up slow cooker with some special touches.... it's had a rough life. The rotisserie style chicken...oh my goodness. When it was warm, it was amazing. I made the mistake of letting it cool in the juices, though and it became rather dry and very citrus-y. I still ate it anyway :p mmmm....

Tuesday - April Fools Special
Wednesday - burgers & cheddar tater tots
Thursday - sandwich/leftover night
Friday - Tomato Basil Pasta
Saturday - Chicken Milanese with Arugula Salad
Sunday - Tender-crisp spring braise

Menu Plan Week of March 25-31

Where's my warm spring weather??? Growl. Oh well, this meal planning thing is definitely helping me actually cook something decent for dinner. I really needed that, as most nights we were having mac n cheese or whatever scraps of something I could scrounge up last minute.

Last week highlights:
Meat pies and green parmesan butter noodles for St Paddy's day. (Miss O would NOT eat the green noodles even though butter noodles are one of her faves). I was singing about Mrs. Lovett's meat pies the entire. time. I was making/eating these.

Super yummy stir fry - a rainbow of colors to celebrate spring! - over rice

Tuesday - chef salad to finish off leftover boiled eggs
Wednesday -  rotisserie style chicken breasts & caprese flatbread
Thursday - burgers & cheddar tater tots
Friday - chicken pot pie
Saturday - taco salad
Sunday - turkey sausage, biscuits & gravy
Monday - sandwich/leftover night

If there are recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.

And then I will move them here with a review after I've tried them.

Menu Plan Monday week of March 17

My menu last week got a little off come Thursday as we had a surprise Chuck E Cheese trip in the afternoon so dinner didn't exactly happen. So, I've brought the chicken tacos over to this week. I forgot the tortillas anyway. I'm going to add an extra day on here and actually do my plans from Tues-Mon after this week because I usually do my shopping after story time on Tues. Happy St Patricks Day by the way! Not really a fan of the guy, but hey, love me some Ireland! ;]
Also, Happy Ostara a little early - yay Spring is here!!

Couple highlights from last week (which I managed to accidentally delete, but the recipes and commentary are on pinterest still lol):
The broccoli chicken rollups...I should have pounded the chicken and rolled it better, but I'm lazy.

And dumplings!! I love dumplings. Real ones, not biscuits. The chicken in the crockpot was wonderful, but the dumplings I really prefer on the stove top...

Monday - St Patrick's day! Shepherd's pie in handheld form and green butter noodles
Tuesday - pizza and salad
Wednesday - Chicken tacos
Thursday - Ostara! Beef & Veggie stir fry over rice, honey bread
Friday - Asian chicken noodle soup
Saturday - baked spaghetti
Sunday - Leftovers/sandwiches
Monday - parmesan crusted fish

If there are recipes for the week, I will have them pinned here.

And then I will move them here with a review after I've tried them.

April Fools is the next 'holiday'! I'm excited. Not so much for pranks...but mixed up food! Fun!
